BAKER

Role is a mix of sourdough bread mixing to baking, lamination, cookies, fillings, food prep.

Minimum 1 year baking experience with attention to detail, independence, adaptability, and thoughtfulness.

Tuesday - Saturday (40 hours / week), start times vary from 4am to 8am
Starting Date: now
Starting wage: $19.00 or DOE, + tips
Includes: Health, Dental, PTO

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

  • Able to stand long periods of time, minimum 8 hours (with breaks)

  • Work Saturdays

  • Work 4am

  • General: Multitasking, math, problem solving, flexible, must interact with customers, positive attitude, strong work ethic, leave things better than how you find them, communicative, strong organizational skills

  • Empathetic, reliable, punctual, considerate, responsible

  • Proficient in basic baking skills/techniques, baker’s math and percentages

    • mixing and shaping bread

    • mixing croissant & brioche doughs

    • baking in a gas fired deck oven

  • Minimum 1 year experience baking

  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for naturally leavened doughs

  • Personal grooming/hygiene up to health department standards

Responsibilities

  • Naturally leavened breads, enriched doughs, cookies and pastries, fillings and other pastry staples

  • Prepare and execute recipes and formulas with acute detail, precision and care with respect to Laune Bread’s values/standards of quality and vision/approach to baking and service

  • Able to execute order fulfillment, packaging, delivery* with accuracy and efficiency while also ensuring quality and consistency

  • Must demonstrate daily the ability to operate cleanly, efficiently and consistently in your work space, before, during and after. Leave your workspace cleaner than you left it!


We operate during holiday seasons and expect our staff to work the days/weeks leading into Thanksgiving and Christmas.
We take two full weeklong, unpaid vacations, once in winter and once in summer.


FOH

Guest customer service

Experience in the service/food industry is preferred, but not required

Thursday - Saturday 7am-3pm (24 hours / week)
Starting Date: now
Starting wage: $17.00 + tips

Role:

  • Provide excellent hospitality and customer service to guests and offer knowledge of the the bakery’s products, techniques, ingredient sourcing and farming relationships

  • Manage packaging and labeling for FOH & deliveries

  • Maintain a clean and organized FOH

  • Cleaning & mopping of FOH, customer bathroom, and assist in dishes when applicable

Requirements:

  • Multitasking, professional, respectful, communicative, punctual, efficient, team oriented

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced high volume kitchen/bakery environment

  • Must work Saturdays

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand on feet all day

  • Must be able to climb stairs

  • Computer proficiency
